2020 Half Day Camp Information
Covid Half Day Camps will be offered to those born 2006-2012 in July (13-17, 20-24, 27-31) and August (10-14, 17-21, 24-28) at Stan Wadlow Park.
You will be able to choose the 3 hour Morning (9-Noon) or Afternoon (1-4 p.m.) session but not both.
Campers will be placed in bubble groups of up to 8 campers with one Instructor and one Instructor-in-Training (IT)
The focus will include physical distancing for warm ups, teaching and drills and for game play (adopting Baseball Ontario guidelines for games).
Participants will bring their own glove and wear comfortable athletic clothing and running shoes or rubber cleats appropriate for the weather. Participants would be required to wear masks for times when proper physical distancing is not possible. These masks may be provided by the camp. Participants are responsible for applying their own sunscreen prior to participation and are encouraged to wear a hat. They are encouraged to bring their own bat and helmet. Sanitized bats and helmets and balls will be provided by the camp for those who do not have their own.
There will be no snack bar, so any snacks and water/liquids would need to be brought by participants and may not be shared. It is strongly suggested to use the washroom before arriving at the park. Frequent Hand Hygiene will be enforced. Participants are encouraged to bring their own hand sanitizer or wipes. The camp will have some available for each group.
Campers must be dropped off and picked up at a designated location at Stan Wadlow Park promptly. Late arrivals will not be accepted to the group and late pick-ups will be at $1 per minute after pick up time (payable after 5 minutes of pick up).
Daily health screening upon arrival will be part of the procedure and anyone having any symptoms must not come to camp and must have a covid-19 test in order to return. Anyone displaying symptoms must be picked up promptly from the camp.
We have no use of indoor space. Inclement weather days can cancel camp for the half day and parents should not send their child(ren). Parents will be notified prior to 7:30 a.m. for morning sessions and by 11:30 for afternoon sessions. No make up days will be allowed but a credit for that daily amount ($45) will be kept on their account for future use towards one off-season clinic.
The cost will be $225 HST for either morning or afternoon weekly sessions. These fees are non-refundable. Switching weeks is not guaranteed and is often very difficult to accomodate. Please ensure the week you register for is the one you will use.
Registration is online only. Space is very limited. Registrants will be accepted on a first come first served basis. If you aren't sure of availability then please contact Andrew (647) 899-4312 or email@example.com
