Jackson Arrender
An elite shortstop who has played with both the East York AAA Minor Midget and Toronto Mets Midget Teams. Jackson, while being a gifted athlete, is exceptional at being able to help elevate the level of play with those with whom he works. He is a very positive, helpful and caring instructor who maintains the excellent reputation of the camp and clinics for effective instruction in a fun environment.
Jakob Macleod
Jakob has excelled for 12 years at East York at an elite level as a pitcher, infielder and outfielder. He has a great reputation for being a loved and respected instructor, especially for our youngest clients. His clear messaging, organization, and focus on camper safety make him a great fit for 4-6 year olds who love him for making each one of them feeling valued while learning in the positive group dynamic Jakob creates.
Ryu Lien
Ryu is a very gifted player who is great at breaking down fundamental skills into easy to learn segments and providing effective feedback to maximize development. We are pleased to have him join our 2017-18 Clinic staff this year!
Anthony Fera
Anthony is a consistently hard working instructor focused on ensuring his campers are learning while having fun. His easy going nature belies how much campers end up pushing themselves to be their best for him. He always has a calm presence of respect while instructing and is a positive and helpful person to have on our staff.
Shawna Niskanen
While Shanwa has many elite baseball and softball awards and has been an all-star and National Champion, perhaps her greatest accomplishment is her ability to connect, organize and teach baseball, particularly with our youngest players. Her players love her and listen to her and develop noticable skill improvement. We are lucky to have her and hope that she will be with us for many more years.
Alyson Skefington
Ally comes from a softball background at Topham Park and we are very lucky to have such a smart and professional instructor who always seems to go the extra mile for our young campers. As an elite athlete in both hockey and softball, Ally knows that having fun is important, not just for those new to a sport, but also for anyone wanting to achieve a high level of success. She shines for the way she is able to safely manage and teach campers, while being even-keeled and such a kind and polite person.
Jason Altimari
As exellent a person as he is a catcher, Jason is always willing to do whatever is necessary to keep his campers and clinic registrants engaged in fun and challenging activities to help them learn. Jason is a level headed, great teammate that we all appreciate having as part of our team.
Greg Zenwirt
Greg is a dependable instructor who will take his campers through all the effective routines and drills and give valuable feedback to help make them better. Greg is very easy going and reliable and does whatever he can to make our camp function exceptionally well.
Grant Shantz
Grant is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. He is a very bright, personable and helpful instructor who knows how to individualize instruction to his campers to maximize their success. While not working at the camp, Grant is an accomplished pitcher and outfielder for the elite EY teams he plays on. We are lucky to have Grant before he hopes to start saving lives as a doctor!
Logan Kerry
Logan is an exceptional pitcher (can you say no hitter!) and is super at teaching and developing effective pitching in his campers. Logan has played at East York since he was 6 years old and is currently on the Elite Midget team. We are fortunate to have him on staff for the Clinics and the Summer Camp!
Lucas Arender
Lucas, younger but bigger brother of Jackson, is entering his 2nd season on summer camp staff as well as his first in the Clinics. He brings a wealth of baseball knowledge and elite caliber play to help develop campers in all facets of the game. He is especially know for his pitching abilities. You will find Lucas to be very polite and social, a good team player and willing to do whatever it takes to help out the campers.
Additional Instructors for our ever-growing 2017 Summer Camp will be hired by the end of April.
