In the event of intermittent unplayable conditions due to rain/heat/lightning we will run a modified indoor program including age-appropriate baseball knowledge enhancing activities, teaching simple and more complex concepts in pitching, catching, position specific fielding strategies, approaches to hitting and basebrunning scenarios. We may also make use of our video room and game rooms (we have board games, cards, chess, checkers etc but feel free to bring your own board games) in the East York Hockey Rink. We may have use of part of the dry hockey pad for fun group games (dodgeball, soccer, tag, modified baseball) in weeks 1-7, until the ice is put back in for weeks 8 and 9.
On the occasional day(s) of ongoing rain or dangerous conditions that prevents little or no outdoor baseball activity, typically some families will make alternate arrangements and not send their camper to camp, keeping in mind that there are No Make Up Days in 2020 as the camp is very full.
Catered lunch, if purchased, will still be provided (in the rink).
An email will be sent out by 7 a.m. for such inclement weather days with clarification.
On days when we are in the hockey rink, please drop off and pick up at the South-East door of the rink just off Cosburn nearest diamond 2 with lights. There is a driveway between the rink and diamond for ease of drop off and pick up.
