Andrew brings a wealth of leadership, teaching experience and organizational skills to create a positive and fun culture of learning at both the camp and clinics.
He is well respected in the East York Community for building infrastructure, processes and empowering a community at Stan Wadlow Park that we all benefit from today. Over recent years he has helped lead the East York Baseball Association to grow from 289 players to over 1000 with greater numbers in House leagues and in the Select and Rep programs. Under his initiative new diamonds and lights have been installed, executives have gone from a handful to over 20 and Toronto Blue Jays invest in our park and make yearly visits.
Under his leadership the East York Baseball Camp was formed in 2010 and the Skills Development Clinics were started in 2013. Both are thriving today. Our camp numbers grown every year and now average over 100 kids and up to 19 staff a week throughout the summer! Our skills clinics are so popular we've have over 100 participants and up to 10 staff each Sunday throughout the Fall, Winter and Spring.
Andrew raises significant money for East York Baseball Association each year through the running of the East York Baseball Camp by his company Pace Baseball Ltd. These funds help maintain the high level of field and facility maintenance, equipment purchases as well as money towards any capital improvements.
Andrew is committed to building better baseball players and leaders.
Perhaps his greatest assest is identifying people's strengths and putting them in the right job with the proper supports and then getting out of the way! The East York Baseball Camp staff are highly regarded in baseball circles as witnessed from players traveling from far reaching GTA areas such as Richmond Hill, Markham, High Park and West Hill. Most telling is the number of campers that re-register for multiple weeks.
